The FSx team is going through some changes. Some of the sponsors for the Fischer/Swix team will be different for the 2007-2008 season due to the fact that Fischer is producing a race pole this year. The team will be Fischer/Craft now and there will be a new site launched by Craft (hopefully soon). Until then, some of last years FSx athletes have new web sites for updates:

April has been filled with hiking Baldy with borrowed canine friends, cycling, swimming, gym maintenance and relaxation. Sun Valley has been in the 70s for the past few days however there was a closing-season 80s get together to finish out April (photographs below). The 2007-2008 training log starts tomorrow... These are two of my boys, Rex and Cash (and by "my", I mean not mine..don't worry Mom, I have not gotten a dog). Nikki Sixx made it to the party, which was sweet. Yes, we did lay down the cardboard once people started to dance, obviously. I hope everyone has had a great recovery period and is a ... Read More »

I flew into Aspen on Friday. After sitting in airports for 12 hours and flying for 2, I arrived to find my bags had not. Fortunately I had not planned on racing the following day in the Owl Creek Chase. I made it to bed by 11pm. I watched the race on Saturday with my host mother, Christi and her youngest daughter, Heidi (seen below with pet snake, Ziggy). Before picking up my luggage at the airport. The week flew by, filled with Valentine card construction with the girls (Heidi and Mackenzie), playing in the snow, visiting Heidi's 4th grade class, watching gymnastics, getting pedicures and eating 5-course meals, visiting baby animals at the ranch and joining the Nordic Wolves, junior ski program in Carbondale (pictured above). Well is has been awhile since I have made my contribution to the website. My Midwest photo essay was a bust because the photos are not uploading properly onto the site and I was hoping for my following update to include some encouraging racing to tell everyone about. That has not happened. Thus far the racing season has felt like a good punch below the belt. I was definitely hurting there for a little while but I got up and walked it off. Birkie Fever Baby!
I am really looking forward to this whole Birkie deal coming up in a little more than a week. All I ever hear is, “You can’t really explain it, you just have to be there.” So this year I am going. The FSx team arrives next Wednesday and I am hoping for a successful rematch in the Midwest. My main goal is to go there feeling rested and then we will just see how it all pans out.
I have been doing a few long easy skate skis to get the legs prepped, but mostly just recovering after feeling tired. I am currently enjoying ...
