Training today on the Birkie Trail wasn't too bad. They make their ski trails pretty wide out here in the Mid West. 5 wide!
Well just finished up three solid weeks of racing here in the Mid West. Have to say all of the events we have been to were great. The race organizers for this leg of the SuperTour have done a pretty remarkable job hosting a great series of races. Too bad it is looking like the City of Lakes Loppet is going to be canceled, but honestly I am about due for a weekend off.
The post nationals leg of the SuperTour has been real up and down for me. Literally up and down. The majority of the races I have been tripping myself up and finding myself face down in the snow. Not really sure why I have been falling so much, except I h ...

Yes, I said sprints. For those of you that know me I am writing something good abut sprinting. Normally the sprint day is the day fo the trip that I dread, but today it was different. I actually sprinted... and enjoyed it.

Sunrise before the last race Finally i got a break. The 15+15km pursuit was the first time of the week that I felt like I was racing fast. I didn't feel any different in the morning but by the time the gun went off I knew the something had changed. I was skiing much better. I felt good from the start, something that had not happend all week. Better late than never. Kris took a early lead, but I was able to hang with the chase group. By the tme we got to the transition zone I was skiing on my own but holding 9th place, right ahead of Carl Swenson.
