The FSx team is going through some changes. Some of the sponsors for the Fischer/Swix team will be different for the 2007-2008 season due to the fact that Fischer is producing a race pole this year. The team will be Fischer/Craft now and there will be a new site launched by Craft (hopefully soon). Until then, some of last years FSx athletes have new web sites for updates:

 Co Rod's Updates
By Zach Violett on 1/30/2007

I can definitely say that I have never traveled this much in my life. It has been a crazy couple of months. Don't take me wrong, I love it! It just takes a little getting used to. Last night was the 3rd night in five weeks that I have slept in my own bed. It felt real nice!

This last trip to the Midwest was very good to me. It started off with an interesting travel day that resulted in being upgraded and given free round trip tickets anywhere that Alaska/Horizon flys. And we still got to Minneapolis at the same time that we planned on. Needless to say Brayton and I were pretty excited. From there we rented a car and waited for Marshall and Evelyn to arrive before crashing at Mickey Scott's house. Thank you Mickey!!! The next morning we drove up to Grand Rapids, MN and found the cheapest hotel in town that had availability and a kitchenette. It was a bit of a dive but worked out just fine.

Special Violet and Nickel during todays ski. The skate course looks like it will be a 5k, twice around for the men. A shorter loop is being preped for the classic since the snow is too thin to lay tracks in the woods. After a poor showing for the women's sprint (13 athletes), this weekend looks to be shaping up for some great competition. NMU's girls, inluding the Lindsays along with Morgan Smyth are rumored to be attending. The CXC, Caitlyn and Laura, duo will be ready to tear it up again after their 1,2 finish in the freestyle sprint. And Nicole DeYong will be back on course after sitting Wednesday out. Currently being housed by Dennis Kruse and his pups, Franklin and Ella (seen above), Colin, NIcole and I woul ... Read More »

It was a good day for FSx. Nicole DeYong and I pulled through in second, while Caitlyn Compton and Laura Valaas took the top step. In the boys race, Rodgers and Simons finished up in an impressive third (Zack has been sick this week and is taking tomorrow off). It is after 10pm, we just finished dinner and start up again with the qualifiers in the morning at 9am. Hammer. Photos inside... Read More »

<> This is the street at 5:30pm. Moving into the hotel an hour ago, a man mentioned the cold weather. I suggested we might have snow on the road by morning. He said "no way!" I said "want to bet?" 6pm, the dump trucks rolled in.<><><> and then there was snow...<><> and the kids were happy...<><> they spread it around...<><> and built bridges... ... Read More »

Houghton version 1.0 has concluded and the FSx team has found a spacious cabin to train from until the Madison races. The snow is plentiful and the temperatures are characteristic of winter, which is nice. Photos to come from our new abode. Here are the shots from the men’s team sprint, pretty much the only race I was able to photograph during Nationals. Enjoy. Photos inside. Read More »
