good but cheap ski resorts?

skiing-pic1what is a fun but cheap place to go skiing/snowboarding. Resort where you get the most for your money?

I haven’t paid “fool” price for a ticket in years. EVERY resort has some sort of deal going on. I always tell people to pick where they want to go and THEN look for the deal. It’s just easier that way.

Skiing mid-week is always going to be cheaper than skiing on a weekend or holiday, so cut class or call in sick and hit the slopes on a weekday. Another thing I do if I am forced into paying off-the-street prices is to buy a 1/2 day ticket and just stay out the whole time. 4-5 hours of hard skiing anywhere will give you your money’s worth and often it breaks down to something like $5 a run.
